Description NotesWhen it came time to determine what the characters would look like onscreen - the writers purposely did not focus their efforts on the exact look and feel of the characters. They both felt that if the story was strong and the characters were properly developed that exactly what they looked like – though important when dealing with an animated feature, was not going to be the final denominator for the success of the feature. ”Even though both Ilana and myself have art backgrounds , we certainly knew we weren't Pixar, Sony, Fox or any other large production company. So we knew we were never going to be able to match anything from those large producers ... yet that was the exact vision Ilana and I had from the start,” explains Vinny. “I have been working with 3D for years and was pretty much up to speed on the kind of computing power and resources you needed to actually pull off the kind of film we were hoping to see our story become.” Being a producer as well as a consumer of CGI artwork and animation Vinny has a strong grasp of what is really possible with today’s state of the art CGI rendering. “Some of the most amazing materials and lightning are possible these days not to mention my new favorite technological CGI marvel – sub surface scattering. Whenever we discussed visuals, we always wanted to leave things as open as possible so as not to limit the creative minds that might take our vision from paper to computer screen to the silver screen.”
